JIM
DANIELS, Senior
Director of Werner Enterprises
"Werner Enterprises takes extreme pride in
knowing that year after year we continue to put
on the road the safest, most productive, professional
fleet of drivers. Without the help of school such
as yours, our success factor might become limited.
This letter is just a small token of our appreciation
to you and your staff for the outstanding job you
did in helping prepare one of your former students
to become a Werner Enterprises team member and be
recognized as one of the most professional drivers
on the road today." |
ALEX NGUYEN, 2007 Alumni
"After twenty-three years working for various Electronics & Semi-conductor companies, I find myself having to change careers due to outsourcing. I was told by friends and associates that one field of high demand was commercial truck driving. I looked into the various truck driving schools and academies. I found that Area Truck Driving School was not only the most professional but also highly recommended.
Impressed, I decided I would enroll in Area Truck Driving School in the hopes that I would not only be well trained but also be comfortable in my new chosen career. I must say I was not let down. The instruction I received was thorough. The Hands on training I received was excellent. In fact, I was so well thought that I aced all of my DMV written, skill and endorsement tests with my first attempt.
I now embark on my new chosen career with confidence. I do so only due to the instruction and training I received from Area Truck Driving School. It goes without saying that I will recommend Area Truck Driving School to anyone interested in a new career as a commercial truck driver.
I would especially like to thank the following instructors for their excellent instruction and training: AJ Angelo, David Guerrero, Frank Estrella, Albert Redondo, Norman Tooma and my Admissions Representative Raman Gevargiss."
SYDNEY BOOKER II, 2006 Alumni
"As a recent graduate of Area Truck Driving School, February 2006, I must say that doing careful research and having patience prior to enrolling into the program has paid off handsomely. I had called and visited several trucking schools in the Bay Area, and they would seem to be the best school UNTIL it was time to sign on the line and commit my money. Only then would the caveats come out, for example, a firm in Union City quoted me the lowest price for 4 weeks of training of any of the driving schools. Only for me to find out that I would have to pay for my own permit, the examinations at DMV, and “rent” the truck from them to take my final drive test at DMV! What the hell was that!? Also, having been to a few large trucking firms, I was shocked to learn that some of the trucking schools that heavily advertise their services in the Bay Area are not even recognized as accredited or have reputations for not graduating students that know what they are doing, therefore severely limiting ones employment options upon graduation. All of my concerns evaporated once I began researching Area Truck Driving School. They have a stellar reputation. My recruiter, Roman, was no-nonsense and truthful, answered questions thoroughly and accurately and never let on if I was making it difficult with my constant quizzing (Patient!). The instructors, A.J., Norman, Al, and Gary are all patient, knowledgeable, and amazingly know how to deal with people as individuals with different attitudes, capacities and speeds for learning the course material. Area Truck Driving School is more expensive than the others I looked into, but everything is all inclusive. No hidden charges or last minute surprises. Once you get signed up you can focus on learning and getting that CDL. And a big plus is the lifetime job placement assistance; here is where Gloria in the front office shines. The employment listings are updated frequently and I find it nice to get a courtesy call letting me know what new jobs are available if I am interested. Overall, I am thrilled that I was able to attend and earn my Class A CDL through Area Truck Driving School. If you make this school your choice, you wont have any regrets. I don’t!"

"The
experience I had at your facility was a relief to say
the least. After 21 years as an auto mechanic, I was
very apprehensive about making a career change. After
finding out that your school has one of the best graduation
records in the area, it was an easy choice to decide
to attend. Another benefit is the wide variety of ways
to take care of tuition financing. Your staff was very
thorough in the explanation of all the financing options.
Your
teaching and office staff are some of the friendliest
and competent people I have encountered during my career
change. I need to give extra recognition to your instructors,
A. J. and Norman. It is rare to find this quality of
instructors in such a stressful situation. Their knowledge,
abilities and patience with the students are beyond
comprehension.
Thank you for you help in starting my new career."
THOMAS
R. PALMER, 2004 Alumni
"It
is my pleasure to highly recommend your school. My experience
was both positive and rewarding. With the dedication
of your teachers and hard work and study I was rewarded
with my class A license. I did a lot of research, both
on the Internet and with people in the trucking industry.
I am certainly glad that I choose you school. On the
day of my DMV testing there were 3 other schools with
students there for examination. Other schools had a
total of 6 students (5 failures). We had a total of
3 students (all 3 passed). I felt prepared and confident.
As far as I am concerned, there is no comparing your
school and others. Please feel free to have any future
students contact me with any questions regarding my
experience with you school."
BEVERLY
SWEET, 2003 Alumni
"Having gone through (Area Truck Driving School),
I can highly recommend it to you. The training you'll
receive at Area will prepare you 100% for the goal of
obtaining Class-A driver's license and of becoming a
safe and qualified professional driver. The instructors,
Norm and AJ, train each student as the unique individuals
they are and not like cookie cutter trainees. If you
find yourself having trouble with any part of the training,
you can talk to them without reservations and they will
find a solution to help you.
I
know (the training at Area Truck Driving School) was
money well spent."

"I would lke to take this opportunity to thank
you for allowing me to attend Area Truck Driving in
Santa Clara. I graduated on March 29, 2002. The staff
was friendly and very helpful. I personally would recommend
people to this school. Also, I honestly would rate the
material used at 100%. Therefore, I believe this is
a great school. If I had to do it all over again, I
would choose this driving school again. Thank
you very much for your time and support."
BRIAN
KOECHLER, 2002 Alumni
"I
graduated from your school on May 11, 2002. I am writing
to inform you I am driving truck for DH Winn Trucking.
I am really enjoying my job, the local work, and pay.
Plus insurance benefits are better than I ever expected.
I would like to thank all the instructors for doing
a wonderful job of teaching me to be the professional
driver that I am. "
"I almost hyperventilated my first day on the skills
yard, after the instructor told me about pre-trip inspection
requirements. Two weeks later, I could name every part
of the tractor-trailer combination, including those
under the hood. I took the Class-A drivers test weeks
after that, and passed it the first time with great
scores."
